Ballasteros second-round leader
at Brown Deer Park 

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Seve Ballasteros blistered the course at Brown Deer Park with a 10-under 61 to grab a seven-stroke lead over Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller and Sam Snead after two rounds of the Greater Milwaukee Open. Ballasteros is 17 under for the tournament after a first round of 64. Walter Hagen, who had taken the early lead, struggled to finish one under in the second round and fell to fifth place, eight strokes behind the leader.  Byron Nelson, Curtis Strange, Lee Trevino, Arnold Palmer, Gene Sarazen, Tom Kite, Nick Faldo, Fred Couples and Greg Norman all failed to make the cut.     (leader board)
